How was everyone's socially distanced Easter? We did our best to make it as "normal" as possible for Lucy and enjoyed a weekend full of simple things. We had a plastic egg hunt in the morning, took a walk, and spent most of the afternoon swinging in our backyard under a clear blue sky.
We started the day with an easter surprise. No candy in her basket but a few special toys that I am sure will be well used.

I love that she immediately opened the duplo box and exclaimed excitedly, LET'S BUILD!

After we played with our new toys for a few hours, it was time to go outside for an egg hunt!

After our egg hunt Lucy exclaimed "The Easter bunny did a GOOD job" and made my heart happy. We ate lunch, had a handful of Cadbury mini eggs (hiding in the very LAST egg of the hunt next to a vintage My Little Pony) and headed out for a walk. We live right down the street from our church and while we couldn't attend a mass, we took a stroll around the property.

Lucy amused herself by hiding in a bush. I love toddlers.

Then we went up to the spot she calls "the church meadow" and ran and ran and ran and also blew some bubbles.

After running, running, running, we took a rest on her favorite rock.

Hugs for Dada or NOT prohibited right now!

I hope you all had a safe and happy Easter. Sending love and light out into the world today and every day.
xoxo,
J
