The week came and went in a blur of emails, doctors appointments, and late nights. It was a long week of doctors appointments for Lucy and in between I worked on albums, responded to inquiries and tried to keep up with instagram. I love that my job keeps me grounded, even in times of worry, I can escape into an engagement session or a wedding and suddenly be transported to a beautiful day with only the happiest of feelings.
Day 49: The snow was light and fluffy and piled high on everything outside in our yard. The hydrangeas which were covered in ice just last week, bowed and danced with the weight of the new fallen snow.
Day 50: My favorite flower in my favorite color.
Day 51: Preparing for our overnight trip to Philadelphia for Lucy's doctors appointments. We visited the beach before dinner to take a deep breath and stare at the ocean. A family friend illustrated this gorgeous angel for Lucy's room at home.
Day 52: My daughter, my heart.
Day 53: I love the little bird nest outside the window of the waiting room at Jefferson Memorial. While we wait for Lucy, I often imagine the nest as it might have been last spring.
Day 54: The morning after Lucy's chemo. She had a rough night, but as always, woke up smiling. There's a reason we call her #lucythewarrior.
Day 55: A new sample arrived earlier in the week, but I didn't have a chance to open it. 100% in love with my new heirloom parent books. The leather covers are GORGEOUS!
See you next week!
