It's the four letter word that no bride wants to think about on her wedding day.
But, here's the thing, the weather is the one thing we can't control, so choose joy over worry and smiles over frowns. You don't want to let worry steal your joy in the weeks leading up to your wedding OR on the day of your wedding. You're getting MARRIED! So try not to check the dark sky app every five minutes, because, honestly, it's probably wrong anyway. Scroll down at any time to see three amazing couples who didn't let a little sprinkle steal their day!
Don't worry about the weather too much, but be sure to prepare a little bit. Here are a few things you can do so that your wedding day continues without a hitch, rain or shine!
2. If the weather looks iffy, pack two pairs of shoes, or a pair of wellies! Wellies will keep your feet dry and look super cute peeking out from under your fantastic gown in a shot or two!
3. This one might be a bit controversial, but I'm saying it anyway! Don't worry if your gown gets a little wet or a little dirty, especially if you chose an outdoor venue like a vineyard or a farm. We are going to do our best to keep you as pristine as possible, but in 10 years, you'll cherish the images you created with your husband more than a perfectly clean hemline. (I promise!).
4. ENJOY the day! I can't stress this enough. It's your one and only wedding day. When you remember your day, you are going to want to remember joy. So try your best to go with the flow and we'll take care of the rest! Remember, it's your one and only wedding day, but you have a whole TEAM of wedding vendors who've definitely been to a wedding (or two, or a 1,000 between us!). We are constantly working together to make it perfect for you, rain or shine. So sit back, try to relax, and know that we've got your back!
Bonus Tip: Overcast light = GORGEOUS light. If we can sneak out to take some portraits, the light is pretty and even from almost any angle. You are going to look RADIANT!
Check back in soon because I'll be doing a blog post about how WE handle rain. Hint, we get wet so you don't have to! :)
