FAQs

“I am passionately curious”

We love your images but have a few questions.

You'll find answers to common questions below... or hop on over to the contact page and we can  arrange a time to chat about any lingering questions you may have. I love chatting with brides and grooms about their day and how best to satisfy their needs!

Q. Do you travel?

A. YES! I love shooting in my home state of Connecticut but also travel throughout New England, the US, and beyond!

Q: How would you describe your style of wedding photography?

A.  I shoot most of the day in a documentary style, meaning I don't direct or pose most of the moments you see in my portfolio.  I want you to relax and enjoy yourselves. When you are soaking in the first dance of the rest of your lives- I want you to be in the moment with each other. While 75% of the day I want to be as unobtrusive as possible, I also believe  that there is room in a wedding day for a few classic portraits.  So at certain points in the day, like after your gown has been buttoned up, we will take a few moments to take some iconic portraits of you. I also love to spend at least a half hour capturing images of just the two of you. I love to sneak off at sunset to capture the beauty of your day and your love for one another.  It's also just a great time to hit the pause button and soak it all in. And of course, during family formals, I am directing so that we can get them done quickly and everyone will look their best.

Q. Do you take family formals?

A. Absolutely! Before the wedding, I send out a questionnaire and have a phone (or in person) consultation with you to make sure we capture images of all of the people who are important to you.

Q.  Do you work off a shot list?

A. Every single wedding is unique, so I try my best not to focus on a "shot list" and instead capture the moments that you will cherish because they are yours.  There are spots on the questionnaire I send out that ask for information so that I know exactly what is important to you- information on specific details, surprises you have planned but for the most part, I want you to love my work so much, that you trust me to tell the story of your day with a collection of images that are uniquely yours.

I know that planning a wedding can be a little overwhelming at times, and I wish I had a crystal ball so I could answer all of your questions right up front... unfortunately, my magic eight ball is out for repair. :) So if you have questions that I haven't answered, feel free to get in touch and we'll chat until I answer them all! :)
